As the Deputy Headteacher in charge of administration at Standard College Ntungamo, I extend a warm welcome to both returning and new students. The administrative team is diligently preparing for the commencement of the new academic year, ensuring that all systems are in place for a smooth and enriching learning experience. Throughout the year, we will strive to uphold the values that define Standard College Ntungamo - values such as discipline, respect, and a commitment to holistic development. Our aim is to create an atmosphere where each student can thrive academically, socially, and personally. I encourage both students and parents to actively engage with us throughout the academic journey. Open communication is vital, and we are here to address any queries or concerns you may have. School Clubs & Communities

Our school recognizes that learning extends beyond the classroom, and that's why we offer a diverse array of clubs to enrich the student experience. According to the school Policy, Each learner must belong to a particular club and Sport. Join us on this exciting journey of self-discovery, camaraderie, and personal growth as we explore and celebrate the unique talents within our school community. Our School clubs include ICT Club, Mathematics Club, Interact Club, Patriotism Club, Writers Club, Scripture Union, Debate Club, MDD Club, Redcross Club, Scouting Club, among others. Standard College Ntungamo also Offers different Sports activities. Below are some School Clubs and Sports and their achievements

THE PATRIOTISM CLUB

The Patriotism club has been in existence since 2014 to date. Mr. Tuhumwire Ben is the Club Patron, and the club has a menbership of over 50 students.Patriotism club has differnt activities including Parade Ceremonies, Charity Work, Patriotism awareness and Community service. Other Clubs at Stacon include the Writers club which was behind the publication of the 2nd Edition of the PEAK MAGAZINE, The debate Club for inproving Learners English and Public Speaking, The MDD responsible for Performing Arts, among others.

THE INTERACT CLUB

The Interact Club is Under the Patronage of Mr. Luyimbazi Boaz, It was Mothered by the Rotery Club, Ntungamo. It has over 60 members and participates in different activities like Donating Scholarstic Materials to Rwera School of Dis-abled and Kyarwanyehunde Community School. Other activities include Tree planting in Partnership with Interact & Rotaract club Uganda, and Planted over 300,000 trees in Western Uganda in Partnership with Rotaract and Interact. It also participates in internal school Cleanliness.

SCRIPTURE UNION

Our SU club is a haven for those seeking spiritual growth, meaningful connections, and a deeper understanding of faith. Through prayer, discussions, and various activities, we create an environment where individuals can strengthen their relationship with God, share their faith journeys, and support one another on the path of spiritual discovery. Our Scripture Union Community includes different ministries including Look Wide Ministry, LCM ministry, Reedemed Ministry and the Catholic Community. Scripture Union at Stacon welcomes you to a space of fellowship, reflection, and shared spiritual exploration.

SPORTS

At STACON, We do differnt sports including Athletics, Football, Volleyball, Badminton, Handball, Netball Mind games (Chess & Scrubble), all for both girls and boys. Our Teans have been able to participate fron school level to National level, whereby Villeyball and Handball have Dominated, joining the National Competitions. We also compete in Physical Education Galla at the District, Regional and National level where we were No.2 in Western Region of which Under the Galla are activities like Gymnastics, Aerobics, Improvisation, Poetry and Original Composition Songs, where 5 of our learners were chosen to represent Western Uganda to National Competitions.

THE SCOUTS CLUB

The First Patrol was registered in 2008, Since then, we have been registering patrols every year, from District to National level for both sections that is; Rovers and Ventures whereby Rovers has always dominated taking the first position or second position at worst. In 2022, Girls qualified for East African competitions. The club has over 300 learners, trained in pioneering, Survival skills, Basic First Aid, ICT Literacy, Environmental awareness and patriotism. Mr. Kyagera Ackim is the club patron since 2008 to date. He is also the DEC for the district and western region DEC nominee.

THE RED CROSS CLUB

The School link is under the supervisory ofNtungamo Branch. It was started in 2009. Mr. Muhumuza Elly was the patron [2009-2014]. Mr. Kyagera Ackim has been theclub patron since 2009 to date. The clubahas over 100 registered learners. Theactivities include Community Service, FirstaAid, Public Health awareness, Projects,Camping and Leadership Training. Themost recent achievement is that wehosted the National Youth Camp for all thealinks in Uganda. On Attenedance was;Ntungamo Branch Governing Board, TheGeneral Secretary Uganda Red CressSociety and Hon. Stephen Tashobya.
